Penhill Candidate Tel Hudson

Tel Hudson introduced the Swindon Liberal Democrats Regeneration Manifesto by calling for action.

"Swindon needs to seize a historic opportunity to redevelop the town centre. The ugly police station is no more. What will replace it? More horrible expensive flats bought by buy to let speculators? Swindon Lib Dems demand sustainable long term development for the good of the town"

Tel identified 3 areas to help regenerate Swindon:

  • "Firstly we can create a proper university quarter which will breathe life into the town centre.

  • "Secondly save historic buildings like the Mechanics Institute & the Locarno. The last thing Swindon needs is more unsightly unoccupied offices.

  • "Finally the suburbs need smartening up, parts of my ward Penhill and 30 year old West Swindon need a facelift"

Tel urged voters to back these plans in the local elections and "show support for a modern vibrant Swindon".
